I know I haven't replied to all the comments on my last journal because I have a hard time doing so, but I want to write a new one anyway. This one's mostly about music, but is generally random stuff. And there's a tag thing at the end, so yeah.
I saw my most favourite of favourite bands, Metric, last week! They are so amazing live.

We (meaning

and I) ended up getting the best tickets out of all the kids (all ten of us...haha) that went to the concert at school because I was the only one who knew about the concert before ticket sales. Plus I told ("Can't you buy them tomorrow?" "NO! YOU HAVE TO BUY THEM NAO!!1!") my dad to buy the tickets fairly early on the first day they were being sold. Oh man, I really need to fangirl over all of this here...XD;; When they walked on stage, when I saw Emily Haines, I grabbed Livia's sweater and screamed a high-pitched scream...their opening song was a slower one, but I was still really confused as to the lack of people standing up. @__@ But later on, some people/lots more stood up. Imagine a section of like fifty people and there's only two people standing up. And then there's one person hardcore singing and dancing...that was me. XD;; Two others were standing and dancing in our section, but some people behind them complained to the staff so they had to sit ;< Which was lame.
I was a bit upset that Emily didn't talk so much, but oh well. She was incredibly energetic and danced and jumped everywhere. I nearly fell over at least twice as I was dancing around, actually. XD But I really liked it when she first got up close to the edge of the stage, but stayed just out of reach of the crowd, then backed away. I was like "what a tease!" haha...but I'm so jealous...wish I got tickets on the ground level, but then I supposed that I might've not gotten seats close enough (though my dad got them two hours or something after tickets went on sale...hmm) to be able to get that close to the stage so I might be able to touch Emily's hand...
Dad: You're not supposed to touch people's hands. Swine flu.
Sam*: But if I got swine flu from Emily, then it would be okay.
Well, obviously not, but it goes to show how obsessed I am with this band and that woman. XD;; I actually had a dream about Metric last night (technically the night before, since it's the 14th now...). A
dream. Like. WTF. XD;; I could go on and on, but I'm going to leave it now. It's more for my enjoyment than anything really, haha. I guess I'll just squish school things together in a paragraph and then do the tag because the journal's already getting long...
Basically, there's so much work to do in school this year that it cuts into computer time and stuff. :< Highlights include Law, in which my teacher gave me the role of Crown Counsel in our mock trial. He told my parents in parent-teacher interviews that I'd "become a good lawyer someday", and when my mom told me he said that, I laughed. XD We're going to court soon, so that's going to be sweet. Then there's Art, and I sorta got in trouble with my two art teachers because I skipped a Yearbook class to finish my painting in open studio...I wasn't there to witness it, but apparently my Yearbook teacher was pretty pissed that I missed that class. The next day he actually called me down to talk to me about the whole situation, and it was extremely awkward...for much of the duration of the conversation I stared at the wall and made a bunch of awkward pauses. Also this week, I re-realised how awkward I can be. Yes. And I could go on, but I think it's tag time.

Tagged by

1) Please post the rules in your journal.
2) Say your 5 favourite bands/artists, 3 favourite songs by them, and what genre they are.
3) No tag-backs and the same person can't be tagged twice.
4) You have to tag at least 5 people. Random ones will do if you're desperate. But you can tag more.
5) Post the icons of your tagged people in your journal, and send them a message telling them they're tagged
It's hard to pick favourite songs, so I guess these are "current" favourites? Or something? I don't know why I care so much, but I had to mention it. XD
Broken Social Scene (indie rock)
- Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl
- Cause = Time
- Windsurfing Nation
Emily Haines (indie)
- Our Hell
- Pink
- Rowboat
Metric (indie rock)
- Collect Call
- Gimme Sympathy
- Soft Rock Star (both remix and original)
Sam Roberts Band ([indie] rock)
- Hard Road
- Oh Maria
- Stripmall Religion
Stars (indie pop)
- Elevator Love Letter
- Going, Going, Gone (Emily Haines actually sings this one, haha)
- The Big Fight
Fact: Emily Haines is directly connected to three of four of the other musicians, and one degree away from Sammy, to my knowledge. Lol. It would make my life if they were directly connected and collaborated or something. XD;;
Anyway, tag yourself.

It's times like these when I ramble on in my dA journals that I think I should use a separate blog or something. XD Well, I suppose it's not that long of an entry really, it just looks that way on my front page. Eh. Haha, and I'm so cool that I made these journal graphics just now. XD So bored.
A little present for a Big Friend.
